EIUL vs Mutual Funds which one is better?
Equity Index Universal Life is a combination of investment and insurance regular Mutual Funds, which one is better long term investment security
In addition to the excellent response by the first level of answer, I would like to add the following. If you were locked in a EIUL is at your mercy to provide a reasonable return, which probably would not. However, if you invest in mutual funds if the funds are invested in not to your expectations, you can switch to another fund or funds. You also have the advantage of pick and choose which funds you want to invest in. For safety reasons and to maximize their profitability, it is prudent to own a select range of investment funds all with a good history and different investment strategies. Remember that 70% of mutual funds under perform the overall market and should therefore be a little demanding.
