Any suggestions on saving money on visits to the dentist?

I've had bad teeth all my life. When I say bad, I mean that never fails when I go to the dentist, I always walk with a long list of things that need to be made by root canal fillings to crowns. It always ends up being the major expense (Even with dental insurance) that lately I just stop going to the dentist just because you can afford. Can anyone suggest ways to save money on bills dentist, while working to do? Are there any agencies out there that could help with the cost or low cost supplemental dental insurance could used in conjunction with my regular dental insurance provided by my employer? Any and all suggestions welcome.
