Return Of Premium Life Insurance

we must cancel our insurance policy whole life?
we bought a Whole Life Policy for a couple of years ago b / c we liked "security" not to lose our money (the way u do w / time) – anyway we realize that u do not make any money this way and better to take those premiums and put them in a better return on investment. we have a large chunk of money in this life policy will be down the toilet if we cancel. What we do? we can turn back to run?
It completely depends on why you bought the insurance in the first place. All life is for the needs that do not disappear (IE: funeral costs, final taxes, etc.) Deadline for temporary needs (IE: paying the debt, making sure children are cared for until they are old enough to take care of themselves, etc.) If you are considering the cancellation of this policy only after the Purchase term and invest the rest strategy, DO NOT DO IT! It is a flawed theory and most of the books have been written about him have been vicious in their calculations and compare numbers of old whole life policies to the current term rates to make it look better. For some it works, but very few. Insurance should not be purchased as an investment in peace. Sure is good to provide for his family, heritage protection and, in some cases, a tax haven. The part of the "investment" should be considered more of a bonus to the purchase of a lifetime and not the entire reason, unless you are looking at tax shelter if you are a great individual networth. The best is that you can do is contact an insurance agent for third party liability and ask their opinion on whether to cancel or to discuss your options if you can get paid with the cash value or something. Make sure the person offering Term Insurance and whole life. If you are the guy who sold it can only tell you so would keep it keeps the commissions (depends on how it is compensated and whether it is a good counselor or not.) If it is sold strictly as an investment, obtain a new counselor, is likley nothing more than a U / L for sale slinger U / L for everyone who enters by the door.
